The Dutch Grand Prix looks set to be a wet and windy affair,
potentially causing havoc as Formula 1 returns from the summer
break. Zandvoort will host the first round since the break, with
race week beginning in beautiful summer conditions. According to
weather partner Weeronline , highs of 28°C are expected on Tuesday
as the paddock arrives. However, conditions are forecast to
deteriorate heading into the weekend. Temperatures are set to drop
to around 20°C as on-track action begins, presenting an immediate
challenge in generating heat in the tyres. Strong coastal winds are
also expected, creating difficult driving conditions and making it
feel cooler than the actual temperature. Winds from the southwest
will vary in strength and are expected to carry frequent showers
throughout the grand prix weekend. While rainfall is forecast
across the event, the intensity and exact timing remain uncertain.
Saturday is expected to bring the heaviest showers, with brief
spells of sunshine between downpours. Overall, a challenging
weekend is expected from a weather perspective.
