Lando Norris held on for victory by the thinnest of margins over
Oscar Piastri to take victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix. In doing
so, the McLaren driver trimmed his team-mate's F1 drivers'
championship lead from 16 points to just nine at the summer break.
George Russell, who finished third, trimmed Max Verstappen's
stranglehold in third to 15 points, but the Dutchman will be
investigated after the race at the Hungaroring. He is, however,
unlikely to lose those points, having finished 17.2 seconds ahead
of Kimi Antonelli. Pole-sitter Charles Leclerc endured a torrid
afternoon, despite a bright start. His five-second time penalty for
erratic driving made no difference to the race result - or the
drivers' standings. He finished fourth and remains fifth on 151
points. McLaren's fourth one-two finish in a row further
strengthens its huge lead in the constructors' championship. It is
now on 559 points to Ferrari's 260 in second place. Valuable points
for Aston Martin and Stake mean both teams are now sixth and
seventh, respectively, in the table. Check out the full F1
standings following the Hungarian Grand Prix below!
