The 2025 season has been a turbulent one for Alpine with the
departure of its team boss, a driver swap and a car which has
struggled to perform at times. With 14 of the 24 races in the
books, Alpine finds itself rooted to the bottom of the
constructors' standings on 20 points, all courtesy of team leader
Pierre Gasly, with a best finish of sixth in the British Grand
Prix. Neither Jack Doohan nor Franco Colapinto have troubled the
points in the second car, their best finishes being respective 13th
places. However, that haul of eight points and one more for a 10th
in Belgium means Alpine have taken the record for 'best worst team'
in F1. No team in constructors' championship history has ever
scored more points than Alpine's 20, and the team will be hoping it
can move off the bottom of the table and catch Haas ahead in ninth,
who have 35 points to their name. In taking the record, Alpine
have actually broken Haas's record from 2023 of 'best worst team',
when the American outfit scored 12 points. Check out the table
below for the 'best worst teams' in F1 history. The 'best worst'
