The Aston Martin Valkirye supercar that currently belongs to former
F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo is set to go to auction next month and
has been valued at a huge seven-figure sum. Ricciardo, who won
eight grands prix during his F1 career, enjoyed a bulk of his
success with the Red Bull team from 2014 to 2018. The Valkirye was
created by the Milton Keynes-based squad's former chief technical
designer Adrian Newey, who departed the Red Bull organisation last
year. Red Bull Advanced Technologies also played a role in the
creation of the supercar, and Ricciardo ordered his own machine
when it was still in development. However, Ricciardo is now set to
part ways with the car, which has been estimated to fetch
€2,400,000 - €2,800,000 at auction. The bidding will take place on
October 10 at the Zoute Concours Auction in Knokke, Belgium. The
Valkirye owned by Ricciardo is one of only 150 produced, with the
Australian in possesion of Chassis No. 89. According to the auction
listing, Ricciardo further modified the car and injected a further
£141,500 in total factory options. Despite the significant purchase
being made several years ago, the car is considered like-new with
the odometer reading only 160 km.
