Liam Lawson has called on Racing Bulls to replicate strong results
more often as he targets an uptick in form during the second half
of the campaign. Lawson has endured a tricky period this year as he
found himself demoted back to the sister Red Bull team after a
disastrous opening two rounds at the front-running squad. The New
Zealander has enjoyed more positive results since returning to the
Faenza-based squad, including a career-best sixth at the Austrian
Grand Prix. Reflecting on the first half of the season, Lawson
highlighted it has been a frenetic spell. "It's been busy, it's
been a whirlwind, I would say, especially at the start of the
year," Lawson told media including RacingNews365 . "It was all very
unexpected. What was probably a rocky start has now maybe
stabilised and we're in a better place now." With two point-scoring
finishes in the last three rounds, Lawson is seeking to keep up the
momentum in the second part of the campaign. "In general, the speed
has been there most of the year and it's nice that we're able to
finally get a couple of good results. "As a whole, we need to be
doing that more. To have two or three of those races over the first
half of the season is not enough. "Going forward into the second
half of the year, we're trying to replicate this more. "Right now,
with how close it is, it's just the little things that make a big
difference. So trying to extract everything each weekend now."
