Max Verstappen has moved closer to receiving an F1 grid penalty after Red Bull took fresh components ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix. Under the rules, drivers are allowed a set number of each power unit component over a season, with Verstappen previously using two of the four turbo-chargers and MGU-Hs he is allowed for the season.  He has now taken a third example of each, meaning he when he takes the fourth example, he will move the limit with any parts beyond this, incurring a grid drop.  However, just because Verstappen has taken a third turbo-charger and MGU-H, it does not mean he can't re-use the old components. Elsewhere, Franco Colapinto has taken a fourth MGU-K, maximising his allocation having taken over Jack Doohan's qouta.  Verstappen, Colapinto, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar have all taken a new exhaust system, with eight of these permitted across the 24 races.
