Round 10 of the 2025 F1 season takes us to the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, where weather in the past has thrown up one or two surprises. The 2011 race is regarded as one of the best in F1 history after Jenson Button won in 4:04:39.537 after a two-hour rain delay mid-race, with the 2024 event also impacted by rain at the start. But what do we have in store for the 2025 grand prix? Current forecasts are for a largely dry weekend in Montreal, but with the potential for rain showers overnight into Saturday and Sunday, but these will not have a big, if any, impact on the F1 action. Long-range forecasts are showing that rain storms are moving eastwards across the Great Lakes and US states such as Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota throughout the week, but will pass to the south of Montreal. On Friday, winds are expected from the north north west, which roughly corresponds to a head-wind into the final chicane. For qualifying and the race, the wind is set to change direction to come from the east, which is a cross-wind from left-to-right across the pit-straight.
