Norman Nato guided the pole-sitting #12 Cadillac Team Jota to
victory in the Sao Paulo 6 Hours - the first ever for Cadillac in
the World Endurance Championship. With team-mates Alex Lynn and
Will Stevens, the #12 dominated the event at Interlagos, winning be
nearly a minute with the sister #38 car, including 2009 F1 champion
Jenson Button finishing second. Whilst Jota has won before, the
victory is Cadillac's first. The hypercar podium was completed by
the two-man #5 Porsche Penske crew, with the #83 Le Mans-winning AF
Corse of Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson eighth, just ahead
of the #36 Alpine, including Mick Schumacher. The works Ferrari
challenge was hobbled by balance of performance changes heading
into the weekend, and they were not a factor. In LMGT3, Jose Maria
Lopez brought the #87 Akkodis home for victory, although the big
story was that in the closing minutes, Eduardo Barrichello snatched
a podium. The son of Ferrari F1 legend Rubens, Barrichello passed
the Iron Dames machine with just two-and-a-half minutes remaining
to finish in third, having started on class pole. Check out the
