What exactly does Christian Horner's departure from Red Bull mean
for Max Verstappen's future? That was one of many burning questions
following Wednesday's bombshell announcement that Horner had been
sacked by Red Bull after 20 years at the helm. One of many
uncertainties he had failed to clear up was Verstappen's long-term
future, despite the Dutchman having a contract until 2028. Rumours
linking Verstappen with a stunning defection to Mercedes for 2026
have refused to go away, with Verstappen not explicitly stating
that he will be a Red Bull driver next season. The Verstappen
camp, and especially his father, Jos, is known to have wanted
Horner removed from his post for a long time, but does Horner's
