Kimi Antonelli has vowed to "learn" and "reset" following his crash in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. At the end of Q1, Antonelli clipped the inside wall at the Nouvelle chicane, coming to rest by the exit. The Italian's time on the board was actually good enough to see him through to Q2, which he ostensibly was, but he took no part in the session, as he will start P15, one place behind team-mate George Russell, who broke down in the tunnel in Q2. With Monaco being an extremely difficult track to overtake around, it all but sealed his fate for the weekend. "I don't remember, but it was not so far [up]," reflected Antonelli to media , including RacingNews365, of the lap where he crashed. "It was an unnecessary mistake because I was already through [to Q2] by then, and it is a shame to finish the session like this. "I think I damaged the front-left, I mean I lost pressure from the front-left, and then I just had no turning." Antonelli also endured a tricky weekend at his home race at Imola before Monaco, retiring after being knocked out in Q2. The rookie has vowed to reset himself following his latest accident. "I just need to reset because it has been two bad weekends in a row now, and I need to reset and come back stronger. "The car was feeling better, and I was trying to get into the rhythm, so it's just a shame to finish like this. "For sure, I will learn, and even though it is a really tough weekend, it is not ideal, but I will definitely learn a lot."
