Max Verstappen is naturally incredibly busy as a Formula 1 driver,
but has hinted on several occasions at his interest in other racing
classes. The 27-year-old world champion is setting his sights on
long-distance racing and earlier this year tested a Ferrari on the
Nordschleife. He did so under the playful pseudonym Franz Hermann.
Max Verstappen is to make his race debut at the Nurburgring
Nordschleife next weekend, according to reports in German media.
The Red Bull F1 driver previously tested a Ferrari GT3 machine
earlier this year under the pseudonym 'Franz Hermann' but is set to
compete under his own name at an event later this month. The
four-time champion will drive a car on Saturday 13th, September,
the day after a theory test on racing at 'The Green Hell', where he
is officially a rookie, having never competed before, Auto Motor
und Sport has reported. If this test goes well, he will race in the
ninth round of the NLS championship on September 27th, in a Ferrari
GT3 under his own Verstappen.Com Racing banner. Both weekends fall
either side of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, a race he has only won
once, back in 2022.
