Magny-Cours WorldSSP, Practice Results | Manzi leads the way for Yamaha, Huertas in second with Navarro in third

Stefano Manzi topped the Friday morning World Supersport Practice for Yamaha at Magny-Cours amid Ducati domination.

After a month's break, the World Supersport riders were back on track on Friday morning. The 33-rider grid completed their only Friday Practice session around Magny-Cours ahead of Qualifying on Friday afternoon.

Yamaha has not won a World Supersport race since Race Two at Assen when Glenn van Straalen won at home. However, Stefano Manzi had a great start to the weekend as he led the opening session of the weekend.

Behind Manzi were two Ducati riders. In second place was Adrian Huertas on the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati, with Jorge Navarro in third place on the Orelac Ducati.

In fourth was the top MV Agusta rider, Federico Caricasulo. The Italian rider is yet to stand on the podium in 2024, something he will want to change this weekend.

In fifth place was the Barni Spark Racing Ducati rider Yari Montella. The Italian rider won both races at Portimao last time out and has reduced Huertas' Championship lead.

Home hero Lucas Mahias was the top French rider on Friday morning. The GMT94 Yamaha rider ended up finishing sixth in Friday morning Practice.

The top British rider was Tom Booth-Amos. The PTR Triumph rider was also the top Triumph rider as he finished in seventh place.

In eighth place was another French rider with wildcard rider, Corentin Perolari. The CBO Racing Honda France rider was the top Honda Supersport rider and the only Honda in the top ten.

The only Kawasaki rider in the top ten was Can Oncu in ninth place. The Turkish rider ended the session in ninth place.

Rounding out the top ten was the Dutch rider Glenn van Straalen in tenth place.

The only other British rider in World Supersport was John McPhee in 12th place.
