The IndyCar Series has announced updated results from the 2025 Indianapolis 500. Alex Palou won the prestigious race for the first time, crossing the line ahead of 2022 winner of the event, Marcus Ericsson. However, Ericsson is one of three drivers who have been moved to the rear of the classification following a technical inspection. His Andretti team was found guilty of making modifications to the Dallara-supplied Energy Management System (EMS) covers and cover-to-A-arm mounting points with unapproved spacers and parts. The modifications were found on the cars of Ericsson and team-mate Kyle Kirkwood, who finished sixth. Elsewhere, Prema's Callum Ilott was penalised after his car failed to meet the minimum endplate height and location specification. You can see the full reasons behind the penalties here!
