Dan Ticktum open to Cupra Kiro Formula E exit

Dan Ticktum has confirmed that he is eager for a new long-term contract in Formula E, with "other opportunities" being considered by the Briton, including, leaving Cupra Kiro. Whilst FE's newest race winner is "very happy" with the American outfit and would be pleased to stay, he is considering all options on the table.  Ticktum has taken FE by storm this season and is currently the championship's most in-form driver, soaring to fifth in the drivers' title.  Despite having the oldest package on the grid, he finds himself just 23 points adrift of reigning world champion Pascal Wehrlein, who sits second in the standings.  There is a genuine chance the Jakarta E-Prix winner could end the campaign as the top Porsche-powered driver, which would send shockwaves through the paddock.  After three troubling campaigns with Cupra Kiro under its former names (NIO 333 Racing and ERT), the 26-year-old, finally, has a competitive car.  The arrival of Forest Road has worked wonders for Ticktum, especially the partnership with Porsche.  "I'm incredibly grateful for, like I say, the faith that this team has put in me, also the new investors, because they've never been in motor sport before," Ticktum told RacingNews365 , ahead of his maiden win. "A quick Google search of my name or whatever, you might think, 'Oh, don't want him representing me or whatever'. But I've got on really well with the guys at Forest Road.  "I don't know what their expectations were this season, but I think they're pretty happy with my performance and me as a character in general.  "And like I say, they've given me a great opportunity here, for the team to do the partnership with Porsche and for me to be a part of that. And I'm very happy here."  'You've got to consider other options' Despite Ticktum's happiness with the customer Porsche outfit, his recent form has spiked interest in his services, notably, from Jaguar, as earlier reported by The Race . Ticktum is eager for a long-term deal, something only a select number of drivers have in FE. This could lead to an exit from Cupra Kiro.  However, if the squad can offer exactly what he is after, the likelihood is Ticktum will stick with the rapidly developing team. "But, at the end of the day, a driver always has to consider what's best for his career," acknowledged Ticktum. "It depends what the future plans for this team are, which we have some good future plans.  "But, I want to sign a longer contract now. To be honest, I don't know. Like I say, as a driver, you've got to consider other options, even outside Formula E in WEC or whatever, you've always got to look at other options.  "But in the moment, yeah, just have to do what's best for my career at the end of the day. But look, if the future is strong for this team, then I would be more than happy to stay.  "But there's also other opportunities that may arise, and I just got to do what's best for my career, same with any other driver."
