Ferrari has confirmed it has reached a long-term agreement with
Fred Vasseur to keep the Frenchman in charge as team principal.
Vasseur joined Ferrari in 2023 and was tasked with returning
Ferrari to title glory - a feat the Italian squad hasn't enjoyed
since 2008. After narrowly missing out on the constructors'
championship last year, Ferrari entered the current campaign hoping
to challenge for the titles as it also enjoyed the boost of signing
Lewis Hamilton. However, after 13 rounds, Ferrari is yet to take a
grand prix victory. Despite the rough run of form, the team has
opted to maintain stability in its leadership by tying Vasseur down
to a new deal. "I'm grateful for the trust Ferrari continues to
place in me.," Vasseur said. "This renewal is not just a
confirmation — it's a challenge to keep progressing, to stay
focused, and to deliver. "Over the past 30 months, we've laid
strong foundations, and now we must build on them with consistency
and determination. "We know what's expected, and we're all fully
committed to meeting those expectations and taking the next step
forward together." As the team looks to return to title glory,
Ferrari outlined it holds trust in Vasseur to lead it back to a
competitive position. "Today we want to recognise what has been
built and commit to what still needs to be achieved," said Ferrari
CEO Benedetto Vigna. "It reflects our trust in Fred's leadership —
a trust rooted in shared ambition, mutual expectations and clear
responsibility. "We move forward with determination and focus,
united in our pursuit of the level of performance Ferrari has to
aim for."
