Formula E has revealed some of the TV and social figures from its
11th season so far, consisting of multiple records for the
championship being broken. The brand-new statistics released by FE
consist of figures from the opening nine rounds of the season –
from the season-opener in São Paulo to the end of the Tokyo
double-header in May. Unprecedented year-on-year growth has been
enjoyed by the championship, which is firmly on a path to surpass
500 million cumulative audience this campaign. Several TV
figure-based records have already been smashed by the series, most
notably the Mexico City E-Prix in January, which was watched by a
record-breaking 44 million people. American viewership of the
all-electric series is on the rise through broadcaster CBS, with 11
million people from across the pond alone having watched the race
in Mexico City – a new record for the most-watched FE race in the
the United States. This year's Jeddah double-header was also
watched by a cumulative audience of 65 million across the globe,
making it the most watched weekend in FE history. France and Japan
have also seen FE views increase. FE has also experienced growth
in 2025 through its social platforms. It has reported a 13%
year-on-year growth in video views, a 12% year-on-year growth in
social engagements and a 10% year-on-year growth in social media
followers. "The latest figures from our external providers are
truly phenomenal and show the tremendous momentum behind the growth
of our sport," said Jeff Dodds, FE CEO. "They highlight that not
only do we have world-leading technology and acceleration in the
cars, but that it's producing some of the best most-competitive
racing that old and new fans can't get enough of. "We're building
fan bases and fan loyalty in key and new markets, with Mexico and
the US examples of where our investment and longevity in the market
is paying dividends. As the world's fastest growing motorsport
though, we know we can't stand still. "We know we need to continue
offering the best racing, the best rivalries and the best
most-inclusive events to continue on our steep trajectory and build
a strong community of electric super fans." *The figures reported
by Formula E are based on a data analysis from Kantar Media (TV)
and Emplifi (social).
