Lewis Hamilton has clarified the documents he has been submitting
to Ferrari do not contain any orders. Hamilton has endured a
challenging first season at the Italian squad and is still awaiting
his first trip to the podium in red. In a bid to make progress
behind the wheel of Ferrari's challenger that has caused issues for
him this year, Hamilton has been submitting documents to the squad.
However, the seven-time champion asserted they only contain ideas,
and not instructions on how to proceed going forward. "There were
no orders in it," Hamilton told media including RacingNews365 . "It
was just ideas, 'if we did this, have we tried this? If we did
this, perhaps we could ease up a certain area'. "It's just about
having conversations. Fred and the team have been really
responsive." Hamilton's team-mate Charles Leclerc has enjoyed a
more positive experience with the Ferrari car this year, taking
five podiums and a pole position last time out in Hungary. The
Monegasque driver detailed he is not submitting any documents in a
similar fashion to Hamilton, but asserted he is partaking in
constant feedback of his own. "I'm of course involved," Leclerc
said. "I'm not creating documents on my side, but I'm definitely
having meetings whenever I'm back in Maranello with the team to
know what is the next thing we want to tackle as a team. "Every
single driver has their way of feeding back to the team. "I have
my way, which is different compared to Lewis, but that doesn't mean
I'm left out. I'm definitely involved in the process."
