Max Verstappen guest appearance stuns fellow drivers: 'Shows up...does a lap record'

Max Verstappen set an "lap record" at the Nurburgring when he tested a Ferrari GT3 car there last week, according to racing driver and YouTuber Misha Charoudin. In his recap of his day at the "Green Hell", as the German circuit is affectionately known as, he mentions the Red Bull driver's outing. "Franz Hermann has returned home after driving an unofficial track record," said he said, making use of the pseudonym the Dutchman drove under, whilst also commenting: "Bro shows up. Does a lap record with full tank and traffic. Refuses to elaborate. Leaves," on Verstappen's own Instagram post. Official times have not been released, so it remains unclear whether the four-time F1 drivers' champion actually drove a track record, or even if he at least approached the track record for GT3 cars. Another driver, Calvin de Groot, got to experience first-hand what it's like to be overtaken on the track by the 27-year-old, and has the helmet camera footage to prove it. Posting on Instagram, the compatriot of Verstappen included a cheeky caption on the video taking aim at McLaren's Lando Norris.
