Oscar Piastri has delivered the most consistent results across the
F1 season so far, resulting in the Australian having the best
average finishing position. Across the 14 completes grands prix,
the championship leader has an average finishing position of 2.4,
helped by the Australian having secured six wins already this
year. He has a nine-point advantage over McLaren team-mate Lando
Norris, who boasts the second-best average finishing position of
exactly 3.0. Surprisingly, despite being third in the F1 drivers'
title, Max Verstappen only has the fourth best average finishing
position. The four-time world champion's average result this
season has been 5.1, with recent difficult races having hurt his
average following victories in Japan and Imola. Mercedes' George
Russell actually has the third-best average finishing position,
courtesy of a respectable 4.8. With a 6.0, Charles Leclerc
completes the top five. The Monegasque's average finishing result
is 1.4 better than Lewis Hamilton, who does have the sixth-best.
Seventh-spot goes to another surprise, as it is not Mercedes' Kimi
Antonelli who holds P7 in the drivers' title. Alex Albon actually
boasts the seventh-best average finishing result of a 10.4, ahead
of Antonelli's 11.3. Interestingly, Albon's Williams team-mate
Carlos Sainz is 14th on the list with a 13.1. Unsurprisingly, it
is Alpine's Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto at the bottom of the
21-driver field, although Doohan's score is 0.2 lower than
Colapinto's – Doohan's average finishing result from the race he
completed is 16.3. However, the most striking figure on the average
finishing results leaderboard is Red Bull's Yuki Tsunoda, who has
the 18th-worst total of 13.6. This average result is a staggering
8.5 lower than Verstappen, highlighting the Japanese driver's
struggles since being promoted to Red Bull. Check out each driver's
