The Formula 1 mechanics' class of 1966

Group photos are a traditional end-of-season routine for Formula 1 teams. But in 1966, rather than rounding up the drivers who were on the grid, F1 Swiss reporter Adriano Cimarosti brought together all the mechanics from each outfit for a group shot. Ferrari, Lotus, BRM, Cooper, Brabham, Honda, McLaren and Eagle's entire workforce - 28 people - are in this photo! In today's day and age in F1, 28 people barely covers a top team's catering force on a normal race weekend! The post The Formula 1 mechanics' class of 1966 appeared first on F1i.com.
