LDV’s seven-seat off-road 4WD has been upgraded with a new look, overhauled interior, new safety tech and more petrol power – but prices are up significantly, especially compared to run-out offers.
- 2025 LDV D90 pricing and specifications
- Diesel dropped for more powerful petrol engine
- Updated exterior, interior with new technology
- Priced from $43,147 drive-away for private buyers
Diesel power has been dropped from the 2025 LDV D90 seven-seat off-road SUV line-up, as part of a comprehensive update adding new technology, upgraded safety, more power and revised styling.
Prices have climbed by about $4000 across the range – or about $6000 when compared to the run-out offers marketed for the outgoing D90 – and the cheapest model now starts north of $40,000 for the first time.
The facelifted LDV SUV was unveiled in China two years ago, but is only now reaching Australia amid fresher competition – including a new Toyota Prado due within weeks.
A 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder is now the only engine choice, as the top-of-the-range twin-turbo diesel has been axed.

The petrol engine has received a power boost – from 160kW/350Nm to 184kW/410Nm – matched with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, up from six speeds.
Fuel consumption ratings have improved from 10.2L/100km with rear-wheel-drive (RWD/2WD), and 10.9L/100km with four-wheel drive (4WD), to 9.1L/100km and 9.4L/100km respectively – the former matching the outgoing diesel’s 9.1L/100km figure.
The updated D90 can now tow 3000kg braked – up from 2000kg for the previous petrol, but down on the diesel’s 3100kg – while payloads have risen by up to 190kg, and gross combination weights have climbed by up to 900kg.
There is also more ground clearance – 246mm vs 210mm – and the D90 is now longer and wider, with a broader track.

A black exterior trim pack is now standard – applied to the grille frame, door handles, 18-inch wheels, rear spoiler, window trim and other elements – while wheel-arch flares are now fitted.
Inside, the dashboard has been redesigned to accommodate a new 12.3-inch touchscreen, offering Android Auto for the first time, alongside Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth.

The instrument cluster is now a wide 12.3-inch screen – up from a part-digital 8.0-inch arrangement – while eight speakers are now standard, up from six.
A new centre console appears to have moved the gear selector to a stalk behind the steering wheel, opening up storage space and creating room for two drive mode dials in 4WD models.
The base model is now equipped with synthetic leather-look trim, multi-zone climate control and paddle shifters, while higher grades gain dual wireless phone chargers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a heated steering wheel (previously diesel only).
Lane-keep assist technology is now available for the first time, plus rear cross-traffic alert and a door exit warning.
The warranty has also been extended from five years/130,000km to seven years/200,000km, while the 130,000km distance cap on the five-year roadside assistance program has been lifted.
