Max Verstappen scored Red Bull's first victory in the
post-Christian Horner era with victory in the Belgian Grand Prix
Sprint race. From second on the grid, Verstappen used his
low-downforce rear-wing setting to slipstream past Piastri on the
opening lap, swooping around the outside of the pole-sitter at Les
Combes. Despite remaining within DRS for the entire 15-lap race,
Piastri did not get close enough to attempt a move, his best effort
coming on Lap 11 after Verstappen had made a mistake at the
Bus-Stop chicane on Lap 10. Lando Norris was third for McLaren,
once he got past the fast-starting Charles Leclerc. Lewis Hamilton
