A chaotic event in Miami saw the second sprint weekend of the season. It was another tirumphment ocassion for McLaren as the Woking-based squad took victories in both races of the weekend. It's no surprise that the McLaren duo score high on our list of driver ratings - but who else impressed and who has been dealt a tough verdict after the event? Check out the driver ratings below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments! The top five Oscar Piastri - 9 With a fourth win in six races, Piastri has firmly placed himself as the favourite to secure a maiden F1 title this year. The Australian had his demons during the weekend, most notably his final Q3 lap and his stint on the hards - but it was a well-executed weekend to extend his championship lead. Alex Albon - 9 It was easily one of Albon's best weekends of his career. He lost fourth in the sprint race due to a post-race penalty, but converting seventh on the grid to fifth in the grand prix solidified his fifth point-scoring result in six rounds. With 30 points to his name, it is already his most successful campaign with Williams. Lando Norris - 8.5 Norris lost the Miami GP at the opening corner when he ran into the run-off area in a battle with Max Verstappen, but after recovering, his race execution was solid. With a sprint victory also in hand, it was a solid weekend - but there will no doubt be some disappointment over the title battle gap going against him. Max Verstappen - 8 Verstappen produced another stunning lap in qualifying to take pole position, his first back-to-back poles since Miami and Imola 12 months ago. He was arguably overaggressive in the race in his battles against Norris and Piastri, but the pace of the McLaren was always going to usurp Red Bull. He was unlucky to miss out on a podium as Russell benefited from a safety car, but it seems the Dutchman once again got the maximum potential from the car. Kimi Antonelli - 8 It was by far Antonelli's best weekend of his rookie season. He was consistently faster than team-mate George Russell all weekend, bar the race when he ran into difficulties with the Pirelli tyres. But it doesn't take away from the 18-year-old's event, which felt like a bit of a breakthrough affair. The bottom five Jack Doohan - 5 Miami very well may have been Doohan's final race in F1. With speculation mounting that he will be replaced for Imola by Franco Colapinto, it was a disappointing outcome for the Australian when his race ended on lap one following contact with Liam Lawson, one day after out-pacing team-mate Pierre Gasly over one lap. Gabriel Bortoleto - 5 The difficulties down at Stake continue as it doesn't appear as though Bortoleto will be in a position to score championship points anytime soon. A solid lap in Q1 saw him progress into the second segment of qualifying, but it was really the only noteworthy moment of the Brazilian's weekend, as his race ended in retirement with a power unit concern. Yuki Tsunoda - 5 It was a fairly stagnant weekend for Tsunoda. He made solid progress in the sprint race to score points after starting from the pit lane, but once again, he was well off the pace of team-mate Verstappen in qualifying and the race. The Japanese driver copped a time penalty for speeding in the pit lane, which placed him on the verge of missing out on a solitary point in the grand prix. Fernando Alonso - 5 10th in the sprint qualifying session was the highlight of the weekend for Alonso. A retirement in the sprint race following a clash with Liam Lawson, a Q1 exit in qualifying and ending the grand prix a lap down on Sunday marked a difficult weekend for the double world champion. Aston Martin. Liam Lawson - 4 "Pretty shocking" was Lawson's own verdict of his stint with Racing Bulls so far. Since his demotion from Red Bull, the New Zealander has continued to struggle. Throughout the weekend he was consistently out-paced by rookie team-mate Isack Hadjar and his weekend was topped off by a retirement in the pit lane for significant damage he picked up on the opening lap.
