Magny-Cours WorldSBK Race Two Results | Bautista denies Razgatlioglu a clean sweep in France

After Razgatlioglu won the first two races around Magny-Cours Alvaro Bautista one upped the Turkish rider in the final race of the weekend.

Alvaro Bautista has been involved in some controversy this weekend but the Spaniard was involved in no controversy in the final race. The reigning World Champion put in a classic Bautista performance as he got to the front of a restarted race and cleared out.

Razgatlioglu tried something new on his bike for the final race of the weekend, which was ultimately his undoing. The Turkish rider seemed to have lost all of his advantages around Magny-Cours and struggled to run Bautista's pace and just beat Rea in a head to head battle.

Jonathan Rea had looked like he could only manage third all weekend long. In the final race of the weekend it looked like the Northern Irishman was finally going to go one place higher. However, after a battle with Razgatlioglu the best Rea could do was third place again.

Behind the top three was Andrea Locatelli who finished in fourth place, a position he has become accustomed to in WorldSBK. Behind the Italian was the American, Garrett Gerloff, who after being taken out in the Superpole Race came back to fifth place in the final race of the weekend.

After battling for fourth earlier on in the race Axel Bassani and Danilo Petrucci could only manage sixth and seventh place at Magny-Cours on their Ducati's.

After announcing that he would be staying with GYTR GRT Yamaha this weekend Remy Gardner had not really been on the pace. However, the Australian managed to cross the line in eighth place in the final race of the weekend.

Xavi Vierge managed to get an ninth place finish on Honda's new super-concession frame. The Spaniard beat his team-mate, Iker Lecuona, who was using the old frame, so Honda may have made a step forward.

Rounding out the top ten was Philipp Oettl who has had his best WorldSBK weekend since the opening round of the season in Australia.

Bradley Ray crashed after the restart while running in eighth place, but rejoined and crossed the line in seventeenth. The other two British riders of Scott Redding and Alex Lowes did not complete the race, with Lowes not even making the grid.
