In qualifying, it was Sampo Rainio who set the pace on his Beta machine ahead of Czech riders, Vaclav Kovar and Pavel Dvoracek. Andrea Rossi was fourth with Mirko Valsecchi who rounded out the top five. EMX2T TP:
