La F1 attendra la mi-septembre avant de trancher concernant les Grands Prix du Qatar et d'Abu Dhabi, encore maintenus au calendrier malgré la situation au Moyen-Orient. En cas d'annulation, Stefano Domenicali assure toutefois que le championnat se terminera en Europe, et non aux États-Unis.
