Belgian Grand Prix schedule for Spa The second-half of the F1 season kicks off this weekend with the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix from Spa - and it is a sprint event.  For the second time, a sprint race is being held at the fearsome circuit in the Ardennes Forest following the 2023 event, both races won by Max Verstappen. But a repeat could be tough this weekend with runaway leaders McLaren expected to dominate as Oscar Piastri looks to snap Lando Norris's recent newfound momentum and open up his championship lead, currently standing at eight points.  With 33 on offer throughout this weekend, could there be a change at the top of the standings for the first time since Bahrain? As for Verstappen, he and Red Bull are going into their first-ever F1 race without Christian Horner at the helm after he was sacked following the British GP, with Laurent Mekies stepping up to replace Horner, who had been in charge for all 405 Red Bull races. On Friday, July 25th, the first free practice session is scheduled for 11:30 BST, followed by sprint qualifying at 15:30 BST. Then, on Saturday, July 26th,  the sprint itself will take place at 11:00 BST, with grand prix qualifying scheduled for 15:00 BST. The 2025 F1 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa starts on Sunday, July 27th, at 14:00 BST. About an hour and a half, and 44 laps later, we'll know who has won the 13th race of the season.
