Racebike Builder Larry "Motorman" Brown, R.I.P.

Former racebike builder and tuner Charles Larry "Motorman" Brown died April 7 in Decatur, Georgia. He was 69.

Brown, a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, built engines and motorcycles during the 1980s for racers such as Paul Bray, Mike Harth, Kevin Rentzell, Scott Russell, and Deano Swims out of his shop Cycle Performance Racing.

Brown is survived by brother Steve Brown, daughter Jamie Lee Brown, son Charles Edward Brown, and two grandsons.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled May 5 (2:00 – 6:00 p.m. local time) at 2000 Highway 42 North, McDonough, Georgia 30253.

A second Celebration of Life has tentatively been scheduled May 18 in LaFayette, Georgia, with details still pending.
