Mick Schumacher’s message for fans after final Formula 1 race for Haas

Ferrari junior Mick Schumacher finished the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in P16, in his last race for Haas and therefore ends the 2022 Formula One season in 16th place having not scored a point since the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring.

The German was tight-lipped about a potential reserve role with a rumour linking him with a move to Mercedes, but for now the Ferrari Driver Academy member wanted to thanks his fans and everybody who supported him with a short message posted on his social media accounts earlier today:

“The 2022 season has come to an end and with that a chapter as well. I want to take this moment to thank everyone at Haas F1 for all their hard work over the last two years. I’ve been able to meet incredible people and have built friendships that I will cherish for life.” – Mick Schumacher wrote.

“But I also want to thank all of you guys out there, my followers, friends and obviously family, for supporting me through thick and thin. You motivate me day in and day out to push further and to be a better person than I was yesterday. I don’t know yet what next year will bring but I know I’ll work harder than ever to come back stronger and be the best version of myself.” – the Ferrari Driver Academy member added.

Scuderia Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto recently confirmed that he will discusses with Mick Schumacher about the best options for his future and admitted that the German driver could leave Ferrari if a good opportunity appeared from him from Mercedes or other teams: “After Haas decided on a different choice for next season, we need to sit down with Mick to decide what the best is for the future. The decision is really what is best for him. We don’t have a seat to offer him right now and what is most important when you are young in your career is to get the best opportunity for you. We will be fully open to different choices but it is something now, we need to sit down with him to conclude.” – Mattia Binotto explained.
