Charles Leclerc reflects on difference between Formula 1 and Formula E

“Driving a Formula 1 and Formula E car is totally different” – Charles Leclerc answered during a recent discussions with Fedez and Luis Salin for podcast, when the Scuderia Ferrari driver was asked about Formula E and F1.

In fact, during the episode of the podcast hosted by Fedez and Luis Sal, the Monegasque driver spoke about various topics including Formula E and the differences with the Formula One championship. According to the Ferrari driver, the electric championship, which began in 2014, and was also supported by other former and current F1 drivers, including Nico Rosberg, would not be at all similar to Formula One.

Starting from the tracks that in the various Formula E races are only street circuits, up to driving the same cars, undoubtedly very different as compared to the Formula 1 challengers. There were also amusing moments in which the driver joked about the difficulty of sustaining laps at such a speed (even Fedez and Luis Sal themselves had the opportunity to do a few laps a few days ago aboard a car driven by Charles himself). Charles Leclerc: “The all-electric racing series? It is a completely different story, there is nothing similar with the traditional one. But Formula One will become greener and greener. When compared with Formula E, however, there are huge differences. Formula E and Formula 1, in fact, are different and everything changes also in the way of driving. Also in terms of performance, it is not the same thing, and in terms of circuit types. In Formula E they are all street tracks and this thing is beautiful. They went to New York, to Rome and I must say it must be exciting. I’ve never driven a Formula E car, so I can’t judge, but I know it’s totally different also because the car is design in a different way.” – Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc concluded.
